An initiative of the Revathi Raghuram Kamath Charitable Foundation, transforming rural education across Indian villages through the power of community, collaboration and contribution.
"In an era where AI is revolutionising lives, we are boldly turning a blind eye to the struggles of rural India. Akshara Patra exists to change that."Smt. Revathi Kamath
Akshara Patra is the transformative initiative by the Revathi Raghuram Kamath Charitable Foundation. The name symbolises endless contributions toward literacy. Akshara signifies knowledge and literacy. Patra represents a vessel that provides boundlessly.
Central to this mission is REVA, Rural Education Voluntary Aid, a programme that invites everyone to contribute through funds, volunteering as educators or offering resources for betterment.
As Smt. Revathi Kamath says, "REVA is the real seva, a duty every citizen, foundation and government should embrace."
Equipping rural schools with modern facilities, safe classrooms, clean water, sanitation and playgrounds to create environments where children can truly learn.
Mobilising local communities, citizens and institutions to actively participate in shaping a brighter future for rural children across India.
Ensuring students have access to learning materials, nutrition programmes, digital education tools and basic amenities that make learning possible.
Every contribution goes directly to transforming a rural school, equipping a classroom, feeding a child or training a teacher. Donations are 80G eligible.
